Who is responsible
Matt's Lab is the data controller for personal information handled through this website. Questions and data-protection requests can be sent to matt@matts-lab.co.uk.
Information collected
If you use the contact form or email the Lab, the information may include your name, email address, interest category, message and any other details you choose to provide. The hosting provider may also process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, request time and security logs, to deliver and protect the site.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the form.
How and why it is used
Enquiry information is used to read and answer messages, discuss possible work, provide requested information, maintain necessary business records, and protect the website from abuse. The relevant legal bases are taking steps at your request before a possible contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and the Lab's legitimate interests in operating a small creative practice and responding to genuine enquiries.
Contact details are not added to a marketing list or sold.
Service providers
The website is hosted by Vercel. Contact-form messages are transmitted using Resend and delivered to the Lab's Google Workspace email. These providers process data on the Lab's behalf under their own security, privacy and data-transfer arrangements. Information may be processed outside the United Kingdom where appropriate safeguards apply.
Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry, manage any resulting working relationship, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Cookies and analytics
Matt's Lab does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking or a marketing analytics service. Essential infrastructure may use limited technical storage or security mechanisms needed to operate and protect the website.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to certain processing, or receive a portable copy. You may contact the Lab using the address above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
This notice may be updated when the website, its providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will remain available on this page with its revision date.
